Our season finale presents music by composers from Great Britain and the colonies.
From Britain, Vaughn-Williams' Toccata Marziale, Malcolm Arnold's Tam O'Shanter,
and Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1. From Australia, Grainger's Colonial Song and Londonderry Air.
From Canada, Howard Cable's Snake Fence Country, Morley Calvert's Romantic Variations,
Jack Sirulnikoff's Nova Scotia Fantasy, and the Halton Regimental March The Campbells Are Comin'.
Also featured is the Cimarosa/Benjamin Concerto for Oboe with our owm conductor laureate Michael Purves-Smith.
